Saw someone online use this method. glad to see you advise it as well. I'll definitely apply that bit of useful info.

I have been brewing for 5 years and have moved from boiling to simply using tap water out of ever-increasing laziness. No ill effects whatsoever.

If you are in BR, consider joining the Red Stick Brewmasters. Lots of good knowledge to be had.
