I loved Griffey growing up. Loved the commerical. It's a shame his career took the path it did, he was something special before the injuries.

Wow, gave me chills watching that. I IDOLIZED him growing up, and me and my dad would make a yearly trip up to Seattle just to see a 3 game series.

I hope that Nike or someone will put the actual commercial on youtube though instead of someone filming their tv with a video camera

I'm sure it will show up in high quality soon. I think it just debuted on TV today.

I got chills too. It was crazy growing up as a baseball player in Washington with him to watch. Every team I was on growing up, there was a fight for who got to wear #24. Playing wiffle ball in the backyard, there was always an argument over who got to be Griffey. Every kid knew his exact swing and could duplicate it. I'll definitely miss watching him play.

my dad screen prints shirts, so that's how always got #24

that lasted until about 13, when we were given actual jerseys

My favorite player of all time

Probably one of the best clean players of all time.

That bitch A-rod can't say that!

eta....Dave Niehaus gets a nod in the commercial as well.

Man if he could have only stayed healthy. Probably the sweetest swing in MLB. He made it look easy.
