Okay try to forget about the religious site this is hosted on and just listen to what the guest says.

Matt Simmions has some scary perspectives.

Its is the June 28th broadcast.

Skip to the 8 minute mark to avoid the holy roller stuff.

quote:

"10 miles away from the riser are fumes coming out from an open hole that most of the scientists now agree by the size of the oil leak has to be at least 120,000 barrels a day"

quote:

Rick: you said there is a second leak about 10 miles away?
Matt: it is not a 2nd LEAK, it is the BLOW OUT...
Rick: that's the blowout? then what are they showing on TV?
Matt: they are showing us a 22" pipe with a crack that are some fumes going about 3 to 4 feet high, and they cleverly hired all the ROV's to hang right around that thing, then the slimy globs starting showing up on beaches and the govt said, something is not right. NOAA went out and started seeing huge oil plumes.

He's officially a kook. I have a sneaking suspicion all this is a publicity stunt. He's the "Peak Oil" guy, FWIW.

It has to be true and if you question it, you are part of the BP appologist crowd.

Remember, everything on the internet is true.

Then it should be easy to prove false, right?

People are way overboard on both sides of the spill. SOme say world is ending, and some say it's nothing but a small issue that will go away by next month.

Both of those extremes are complete idiots with no basis for arguements.

But for my money, I WANT to stay on the side of the "world is in big trouble". Cause I know for sure everything will NOT be ok and life as usual.

Yeah, let me go grab my supply boat and get right on that. Nothing like spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to prove internet rumors false.

I mean that there isn't a second leak dickwad! Lets see, go there, look where they say a leak is, and...........................................................................................................see if it's leaking!

Done, if it is false, no one listens to this guy again. If it is true, this guy is a hero.

While you have that boat and are out doing the research, could you bring some extra gear and check on a few other things that the internets have told me I need to know about...

* Take your diving gear so you can measure the methane levels under water. I need a heads up so a huge methane build up doesn't explode and cause massive destruction.

* Go ahead and check on the geological forces on the ground down there to make sure they whole thing doesn't blow the hell up and give us a giant tsunami on the gulf coast.

* While you are checking on that info, see if you can run the numbers and figure out a nuke would blow up the hole properly. Well, we have to make sure that BP would use that option any ways since they are more concerned with saving the lease.

* Can you make a trip into Mississippi and check on some of those areas where toxic chemicals have been raining down on the crops.

Simmons also has a gigantic short position out on BP.
