My new Master Forge stainless gas grill (Lowes) has a panini grill. Does anyone have sandwich ideas that I can put to use? Do you brush the bread with a light oil? What is the best bread to use? Thanks in advance.

Pressed Philly cheesesteaks are dank. So is a caprese, tomato basil and mozzarella with a little balsamic. Or a Cuban, the possibilities are endless really.

My parents have one and anytime I stay at home and eat a sandwich I throw it on there. Any kind of sandwich is good on it, but it makes a bad arse reuben

Do you like this grill? It was in the running for grills that I considered.

They really are.
I do a muffaletta panini on ciabatta that is excellent. I add prosciutto to the standard ingredients, and there's no need to brush with oil, since the olive salad accomplishes this for you.

Don't make Cuban sandwiches with a grooved panini grill unless it also comes with flat (ungrooved) plates.
