Well guys, I flew in from offshore on 6-12 into Venice. I can honestly say that there is a ton of oil out there on the water. It was a 45 minute flight in to the heliport. I saw lots of oil in the water & not 1 single boat out there cleaning it up! I took these pics with my cellphone from the chopper.

Nice. Ima going to save yer pics in case something happens to your upload.

A fine example of what can be seen going on in the "no fly zone" if there ever was one.

ETA:

I noticed that the time elapsed between the first and last picture taken in this series was about 8.5 minutes....

Do you happen to know how fast you were traveling? I'm just trying to figure out how much ocean that is..... Yowser.

Have to agree with you on that one. You would think that the photographer/copy writer/editor/SOMEBODY would understand that "juvenile" birds are oil-colored, not oil-coated.

Although it is possible that these are a few of the 900+ birds that were rescued, cleaned and relocated.

This!!

I track an AIS everyday as well and I see hundreds of boats on my monitor every day all day. I have several boats working out there myself.

How can you say you didnt see one boat out there working? I'm sorry but I call bullshite.

Hundreds isn't a whole lot in something the size of the Gulf. All of 'em just happened to be somewhere else from 10:23 to 10:32 on the Morning of June 12th.

ETA:

When was Obama visiting? All the boats may be "focused elsewhere" for effect.

I just assumed that you worked for them cause your screen shot shows their command center/BP Shrever on the AIS.
