The more I watch soccer the more I dislike it.

I like the game, and always have. It's entertaining. But the players are absolute bitches... and the bitchier they are, the more their team benefits. Take a mild forearm to the shoulder/neck? Go to the ground grabbing your face and get the 'offender' ejected from the game, leaving his team down a man for the match.
A player just tried to get out of the way, and got a yellow card for his efforts. This game is becoming more and more bullshite every match I watch.

I used to really enjoy eating American cheese right out of the package, but now I can't eat any kind of cheese unless it's on a burger.

I see you saw the red today.
Look, I am as big a soccer apologists as you can get, but the diving and drama has to be stamped out.
Easiest way, FIFA video review after the game with the ability to institute punishment in future matches tournaments. It is a disgrace to the beautiful game.

ANOTHER flop...
Get pushed in the chest? Go to the ground like you got shot in the face. Get a card on the other team. Holy shite this is pathetic.

Are you by any chance a basketball fan?

oy... these threads are tiresome. no one likes flopping. that was the sentiment for all commentary following the Brazil/IC match.

I loved the mid-match commentary regarding Italy and their rampant diving: "Italy calls it clever, the English call it cheating."

If any English player was in DeRossi's position, hed have done the same thing.
Italy does take it too far, but on that PK you cant say Italians are the only ones who would have done that, especially being down 1-0.

pau gasol, ginobili, nash(yes I'm a Suns fan), and others need to be lined up and beaten with baseball bats... and if they fall down, they get beat more.
ETA: Oh and add Dirk Nowitzki to the list... with most of the Spurs.
The league reviewing flops later is a hell of an idea. I like it.

You overestimate how many people are as soft and greasy as Italians.

I don't know a single person that likes all the flopping. I really wish FIFA would do something, especially at bigger competitions.

Greasy no, I accept that.
The Germans would have gone down just as fast on that play, dont fight it.

Maybe Mesut Ozil, I don't know if any other player would have flopped like that. Maybe Cacau, but he's a Brazilian.

Please, just stop it. No other sport has players act like this with such huge repercussions on the match. The longer soccer people make excuses for it the longer it's going to happen and be accepted as "part of the game". Something has got to be done.

Defend the practice in soccer. It's a soccer thread about the flopping in soccer. If you can't defend the pussies, point at another sport. Nice job.

I hate all the flopping too.
Look at Ronaldo's goal today, if he didn't have a clear shot to the goal he would have been on the ground crying rape after the goalies tackle.
