I only said that because I have witnessed the political views of folks in Colorado first hand. I was born and raised in Morgan City, LA until I was 18 and so has my sister, she has been living in Denver for 6 years now. Basically, this article is representing the ignorance of people who have never lived in or associated with South Louisiana. It isn't the oil/petroleum to blame, it's the company that cut corners and neglected the proper procedures. The families of the oil industry isn't upset with offshore dilling, but upset with the human errors that caused this disaster. The oil and seafood industry on the coast is what gave our state it's unique culture. Screw Obama and his stupid moratorium!! All of the liberals that he's doing that for will be cursing him soon enough when they have to pay $5+ per gallon at the gas pump.

Keep in mind though, Denver is not very representative of the spirit and sentiment of Colorado. Its really a very Conservative state.

I never realized that. All I know is that I'm from a hardcore conservative family but my sister had been influeneced by Obama supporters in Denver over the years.

I agree to a point, but I think she is justified. She probably has the attitude similar to the rest of us from S LA. We are laid back to a fault and it takes a lot (I mean a lot) to set us off. However, once we go off then there is no stopping us and the ghetto will probably come out. My girlfriend has learned to not bring up Katrina or the DWH disaster in front of me. My mouth goes off like a runaway freight train. Besides those two subjects, I am pretty impartial and cool headed.
ETA: Jesus, did every resident of Morgan City respond?
