The D was legit last year. They wore down in the last two games of the regular season, but prior to that, they didn't give up too many yard to put us out of the game and allowed 25+ points one time.

LSU was 46th defense against the run...
LSU was 29th against the pass....
Lets take a look at getting turnovers on D.
Oh my! 89th!!! Out of a little over 100 teams...
Thats WITH the best CB (Peterson) and perhaps best safety (Jones) in the NCAA.
How about tackles for a loss:
Wow...41st!! Kent fricking State kicked our arse in the dept and had almost twice the tackles for loss! Not to mention powerhouses such a Nevada, Tulsa and Florida Int ALL having better stats than LSU.
How about sacks??? Thats an area we always do well in!!
Oh no! 87th!!! Maybe this year we will play better and can pass San Jose State and Toledeo in the sack charts....
3rd down stops? Oh we rank 38th behind such monster programs as Tulsa and Middle Tenn.
Hell, we gave up a first on 3rd down almost 40% of the time!
Last stat: Red Zone defense:
We come in at 43rd in the nation...
La Tech was 32nd! Middle Tenn and San Jose State all beat our arse in red zone defense.
So what do YOU base YOUR opinion on?? Because it sure isnt facts!

I think a better question would be, will LSU ever win a championship with Jordan Jefferson as the QB?
