As with any movie D D Lewis is in, it is very very good.

Definitely one of my fav movies. Not every DDL movie is great but his performance is always solid. Just watched There Will Be Blood for the first time tonight and he was great.

Great movie. The score/soundtrack is still some of my favorite music in a movie ever.

wow, I'm surprised at all the love it's getting. I mean daniel day lewis is great, but he was nothing special in this movie IMO.
I actually thought the movie was average until the end, where it got even worse. I barely enjoyed it enough to consider a worthwhile rent from netflix.
I remember the fight scenes being especially bad/amateur. I could see their fist stopping before hitting, and then two feet over a couple actors play fighting so bad it looked like they were pretending and just going through the motions.
Moguaw, or whatever his name was, was a redeeming factor though.

I know what you're talking about, but DDL's character could've been real cheesie but he did a good job with it. I also pulled a few pieces of arse with this movie in college

Decent enough movie made much better by the great score. The vengeance at the end also propels the overall rating to a higher peak.

The mountainside part with that music pumping is one of the more intense scenes in any movie.
