Montana?
North or South Dakota?

That conference sucks worse now. They lose a school that played in their conference championship last season and somehow they are stronger and richer now?

No teams will be added.

There will be no North, no South.

There is just the 10-team Big 12 conference with no divisions and no championship game.

They won't have divisions anymore...they're using a round robin format.

For sure? That's the best format out there IMO.

Put this in another thread and it got 0 discussion, but these are all of the teams in the big 12 area that have at least half-arse programs.

Big 12 growth options based on regions

West
Utep
BYU
Air Force
Colorado State

Central
Tulsa
Rice
Houston
SMU
TCU

East
Memphis
LA Tech
Southern Miss

I think if they add 2 teams they would make a move to pick up some TV market and it might not be a bad idea to push east and challenge the SEC for recruiting grounds.

The schools to the east are not great now, but with a big influx of money and the added recruiting help of the big 12 name they could turn into solid programs

That's really all they have to choose from. That's prob why they aren't looking to add 2 teams right away. and it really breaks down to how important is it to them to have a championship game.

So now the Pac-10 will add a CG and Big 12-2 will do the round robin....

All they did was swap places. Works into UT and OU's favor because now the conf winner boils down to best record.
