then what about TCU? They have shown that they can compete at a high level. It would also add some of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Also, on the academic side they bring a lot to the table.

If you add them with A&M, how would shift the conference?

It's A&M or nothing right now. If this whole thing blows up, we go back to business as usual

Texas A&M to the west and probably Va. Tech to the East with both those teams set up as permanent interdivisional rivals (like LSU and UF). If not Va. Tech, then FSU. those seem the most logical. No way UNC ever leaves the ACC.

No. Why would the SEC want to water down the best football conference in the country with TCU or SMU. It's Texas A&M or nothing. Each SEC school gets 17 million a year from the ESPN/CBS deal. Why share that money unless a school can help the conference make more money. Only schools I see that can help the SEC make more money is Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Viginia Tech or North Carolina. I'm not even sure the SEC needs to expand to 14 or 16 teams but if it does, they only need to take the teams I listed above and not take a team from a state that we already have a school in. Texas has a huge tv audience, tons of high school talent to recruit from, and we could use the exposure in the Virgina area. I just can't see where TCU or a SMU would make the SEC more money.
