Anyway OU comes to SEC?

I personally would love to have OU in the SEC... are they tied to Texas at the hip, or is there a legitimate chance we could persuade them to come over to the SEC?

They seem to follow Texas in what Texas decides to do.

I think they're joined at the hip with UT since they fear losing the Red River Rivalry game which is their main link to Texas recruits (especially in North Texas which is closer to Norman than Austin). Of course, joining with A&M would still get them the Texas recruiting access they need.

Well, if you believe the "inside experts," OU to Pac is all but a done deal and will be announced this week.
No way they would be making that move w/o committment from Texas, so Beebe is pretty much talking to himself at this point.

The OU-Texas game is not going anywhere.
Outside of USC (who is on probation), which Pac-10 team is going to get them a national audience? Exactly.
They aren't that badass that they can throw away one of the top college rivalries in America. I am sure the City of Dallas would be a little disappointed, too.

Texas needs the RRS too.

What is the general feeling among sooner fans?

Oklahoma could stay Big12 or go to the Pac10 for all I care.

Unfortunately, OU will do what Texas tells them to. I grew up in OK and I never thought I would see the day that Texas would dictate to the Sooners what to do. Times have changed.

I am sorry but the idea of Oklahoma playing in a conference with the term Pacific in it just sounds beyond ridiculous.

What would be the name of the Bama-OU series

I would hope not. Then again UT may be threatening A&M with cancellation of the Lone Star Showdown. A&M can always renew their old SWC rivalry with Arkansas and/or a long-passed rivalry with LSU, but OU's biggest rival (and biggest money-making game) is UT (Bedlam is far more important in wrestling).

Seems like most want to go to the Pac 10, mainly because that is what is being reported as most likely to happen. Those that do tend to be in one of the following groups: (a) pussies that want to have an easy schedule, (b) think we are going to tap the California recruiting pipeline, or (c) live in California.
Those that want to join the SEC (a) want to play the best, (b) keep the Texas pipeline and tap into the talent in the Southeast, which is closer, and (c) want to join a conference that cares about football as much as we do.

The OU fans are split on the matter, but a majority say, "Go West", if anything to keep OSU from getting a leg up.

But seriously, I would love to see Bama and OU play each other every year.

That's what I've been seeing on there too

OSU will never get a leg up. At least for the foreseeable future.

OSU has never had a leg up on anybody in college football.
