Pac 10. They were being offered an invitation to join former WAC'ers Arizona and Arizona State in what could become the Big 12 South.

The Pac 10 carved out Arizona and Arizona State, both schools of which hold ONE Pac 10 football title between the two of them. ONE.

Cal, USC and Stanford are not going to sniff Texas Tech or OSU or OU but once every 6 years or so.

Let's just hope A&M stays in the 10 member Big 12 and plays us in non-conference.

Oh yes. Way to go Aggies. I'm proud you told UT to stick it.

In short, it would work out to two allied conferences, one consisting of the Big 12 schools and the two Zona schools, the other consisting of all the Cali, Oregon, and Washington schools.

There would be no conference championship game and they'd lobby hard to get two separate BCS bids, one for each champion. There would only be two east-west games per team each year, so you could go 8 years without seeing USC.

I see, so this FAIL was due to wanting to hold onto both BCS berths.

These guys are soooo short sighted.

It would have been interesting if they had a champ game for the Pac's divisions.

Exactly. It would be a 'conference' in name only.

Its a dumb as hell idea- west coasters would STILL have no reason to watch the former big 12 teams

since nothing is resolved, they can try again with another approach to the BCS bowl money.

I thought we might get a playoff out of the pac's finally.
the pacs and b10's are against the playoff concept.

They want to keep the status quo.

They are AFRAID OF CHANGE. They are closet conservatives even though they are in blue states.

It will be a pseudo conference, not a real conference.

This entire thread is a lie. Please, provide a link that even remotely claims ANY of that from a credible source.
