what does it mean for all the other schools in the big 12 south. I don't see Texas going to the pac 10 with just okie state and TTU

It means t.u. meets up with the SEC champion in the BCS Championship Game each year, and just like Ohio State vs. the SEC they get regularly "pwned" (to quote teenspeak).

Texas comes crying to the SEC and the other chaff ends up in the MWC... maybe OSU joins the SEC but I doubt it.

this might be a reason why OU is probably headed to the pac 10 because Okie state is on their arse begging them to go to the pac 10

Latest new I heard was that OU and OSU are headed with Texas to the Mega-PAC. Is there some reason that report is now in doubt?

there was speculation that ou said publicly they were headed with texas but privately still thinking bout sec. This question is mostly a hypothetical wondering how it would affect okie state and texas tech

The ultimate would be if OU and A&M did join the SEC, and Texas was left with the a PAC 10 that would require them to travel much more than they had expected.

This is not the "ultimate." This whole conference realignment has its roots in a war for TV revenue. The entire state of Oklahoma has a population of less than 4 million people. The state of Texas has more than 24 million people. If you're looking for TV sets, you shouldn't be trying to add Oklahoma.

the problem is, it makes absolutely no sense for the Horns to join the Pac 10 without OU and TAMU, because they have to play both those teams every year

the Pac 10 plays a 9 game conference schedule... so their schedule would be exactly the same every year

I'm sure it would really cripple UT's recruiting too telling recruits ya we have to go out west 3 4 times a year. Imagine how much hell that would be to try to keep your grades up while having to go out west all school year
