who is so disillusioned with the NCAA and college football right now? It has always been BY FAR my favorite sport but between the BCS and now all these money grabs and conference switches this is the first time I'm not even really looking forward to college football right now. After 2004 I always wondered if there would be a breaking point for me to where I really just didn't care anymore and I'm coming close to reaching it.

I'm with you man. I hate that we might be forced to expand, make it even harder to get to the NC game, and maybe lose annual rivalry games

I know what you mean, but I'm still a long way from reaching the tipping point. For me, college football is the best game going. I hope that with the money grabs they don't screw with the actual game too much, or they'll screw it up.

I like traditional rivalries, like A&M and UT, UT and OU. I think the FL/LSU game is one of the best tickets I can get.

Yeah, and now when Alabama won a National Title, all of a sudden they are not interested in football anymore.

You are just looking for an excuse. We know the real reason

Irrelevant, you are stil a dirty redneck bama fan no matter how many national titles you make up and pay for. The rest of the country laughs at you.

Im with you man, I love CFB and during the season, it pretty much has me wrapped up in the tv from Thursday to Sat night. I think all this going on is just bad for the sport and it will start to suck after this. Having a "16 Team super conference" doesnt help anything,

Especially when it's Texas and OU in the freaking Pac-10. Or Texas A & M in the SOUTHEASTern Conference. It makes no sense at all.

It's ok. Bama won't always be winning Championships. It'll get better.

I gave up on the NFL and other Pro sports 12 years ago because of money destroying the game. The same is now happening to college football.

Yeah, I mean if they wanted to expand or w/e then why didnt the Pact 10 invite Boise and Utah or something along those lines??

No, can't say I'm close to that. College football is still the greatest sport on Earth.

This is all you Big 10 people's fault anyway. If you could win an NC game this wouldnt have ever happened.

You're naive if you think Jim Delaney wouldn't go after expansion if we'd won the NC.

I thought, at first, that it would be cool to have UTw, aTm, & OU in the SEC West, with FSU, Miami, GaTech/VTech in the SEC East. The cfb strength & prestige would be off the charts.

But:
We would give up a bit of our identities.
Our ICC would be silly-hard.
I would not feel the "same" hatred for OU & UTw anymore.
Texas might try to strong-arm the SEC.

So, no, you are not the only one. If we just had some semblance of a play-off, with champions from our own (non-super-mega) conferences, I believe that most folks would be happy. That would benefit fans in so many ways. Maybe we would see most SEC schools stop with the formula of having 3+ creampuff OOC games to get to bowl eligibility (6-6 or better). We would see more nasty OOC play. That would be wicked-awesome.
