TAMU Rectruiting would get better

IMO, if TAMU joins SEC and TU joins Big 10 or PAC, TAMU would start getting better recruits. Lots of recruits choose schools because they are part of the SEC.

And LSU would gain exposure in Texas as well. It would benefit both schools.

which is why LSU would be smart to oppose either A&M or UT entering the SEC. That's a big selling point for LSU to recruits in Texas versus UT and A&M

TAMU stopped playing LSU for many reasons. One of which was LSU exposure in Texas. This would benefit LSU, and yes, benefit TAMU as well. But so what, taking some power from Texas is a good thing.

i dont see it helping our recruiting in TX. we already have a good foothold there, and now this lets Saban, cUM, & the rest of the SEC in

Sure, the SEC overall would benefit recruiting. But overall, this is a good thing for TAMU and LSU.

Competition makes everyone better. I welcome our strange A&M brothers enthusiastically.

Well the conference would most likely need to be realigned somehow and another team would have to be brought in. But in the end, Auburn could play TAMU every other year and gain exposure but the school is still far as sh1t from Houston. Proximity always matters. So yeah, it helps Auburn but minimally. Still benefits LSU and TAMU the most.

Like I said another team would need to be added to offset the odd number. Maybe it would be a team on the east and you keep divisions. I really don't know. But like I said, Auburn and Alabama are still far as sh1t from Texas.

I'm sure if the SEC did get TAMU they would be able to pull someone from the east too. Maybe GT or Clemson.

GT or Clemson would be terrible choices. There really aren't any "great" choices east of the Mississippi. VT or FSU would be decent choices but don't expand the market. Clemson and GT would bring nothing to the table other than a longing to be asked.

I like the idea of FSU joining. If GT was invited and joined the rivalry between Georgia and GT would be more fun.

No it wouldn't. GT and UGA play every year as it is and nobody really cares. I've been to that game before and I've seen UGA get more excited for almost every other big conference game. GT would make no economic sense whatsoever.
