The four states, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana are touching each other. It doesn't make sense for Texas or OU to go play out west in the Pac 10.

Which would people rather watch....Texas at Oregon St. at 10pm or Texas at LSU at 8pm?

This is a no brainer.

Texas is thinking: play patsy schools out west, or play tough schools in the SEC. Hmmmm.....

Ugh the thought of having Texas, Ou, Florida, Georgia/Tenn, Bama, and Auburn on the schedule is scary

Imo it is a step up for them which shouldn't make it as easy as it once was for them (top to bottom).....big 12 was fairly weak as a whole. No way Texas joins the SEC imo......I think you instantly cut their BCS appearances in half for the foreseeable future.

If I were a fan of Texas there is little doubt the potential rivalries that the SEC could offer are equal to none.
