Would you want TAMU in the SEC if it meant that Baylor was part of

the deal?
Baylor has major-stroke in the Texas Legislature and could get the deal done to allow UT and TTU to go to the PAC 10 while A&M went to the SEC.
Would you want that? One good team and the Texas equivalent to Vandy?

I wouldn't mind it would open up the SEC to the Texas market and it wouldn't make LSU's schedule to much harder. Also it might stop LSU from playing Florida every year

The SEC can add Stephen F. Austin, Lamar, Nicholls, and Grambling and still eventually regain its status as the best conference.
I have no problem with Baylor. There are much better options, but I can dig it.

I am all down for a A&M add with either Rice or Baylor as the west version of Vandy. Think it's a great idea, opens the SEC to Texas enough, I'll pass on UT, we have enough douches from Bama already, no need to add more with the OrangeDouche

I'm gona go with about 2 pages of negative posts about the Big 12's runner up in Men's Basketball tourney and the Baseball tourney...and how they're worthless...GO!

i have no opinion on baylor. they're like a rice cake.
if they had to be part of the deal i would say do it.
eta: that's if we HAVE to expand otherwise i'm ok standing with what we have.

Tulame went 12-0 and beat BYU in the Liberty Bowl, if we were to invite a Baylor like University.
It might as well be Tulame. Next!!

I would be ok with Baylor & A&M. Gives us a great market. People talk about the quality of play, but unlike the other conferences, the SEC already has quality. We almost need another in-conference Moo State or Vandy. It would make it easier to actually schedule decent ooc opponents.
If you added Texas, Oklahoma, FSU, and Va. Tech or Miami, the conference would be so difficult that an SEC title would be harder to win than a national title for other conferences. We already deal with that, but adding more powerhouses would make it even worse.

No to Baylor. They can talk all they want about baseball, womens basketball, mens 4X400 relay, etc. Football is what this is all about and the other sports are just caught up in the wake.
And Baylor brings none of the Texas television market. Just because they're located in Texas does not mean anyone in Texas actually ever watches them on purpose.

DON'T FORGET...you are a FAN...don't talk like the money and TV ratings of BU would greatly effect YOU and is more important to YOU then sports like baseball, basketball, and track...

I wouldn't mind that. We have a history vs. Baylor. There isn't a passionate rivalry, any moreso than any of the SEC teams feel about Vanderbilt.
It would be a nice close away game where you could always find tickets.

We have the HIGHEST academic performance by athletes in the entire state...even better then Rice...
Any one care about that? or is it more "TV" market share BS...
Honestly this is all just for fun cause it ain't gona happen...but it's better then work right?

Nobody here cares about academics. We're sports fans.
I think it would be interesting to see what A&M and Baylor could become if they were ever out of the big burnt orange shadow.

Agreed. We already have more than enough football quality. A few schools that would really help out with basketball but have average football programs would be the best route to take, and Baylor fits that mold.

I could live with Baylor. We need to get into Texas while we have the chance. Obviously, A&M is the best option right now to do that. So, if getting A&M meant taking Baylor too, I'd be fine with it.

how exactly does Baylor put is in the Texas door more so? Their fan base is almost non existent. Does anyone actually watch them on TV? wait...are they even televised?
No one gives a flip about Baylor here except for the rent a win they assure.
