Why?

don't water down the product

Football is a zero sum game, only one team can win the SEC title.

but more than 1 team can win BCS bowls and represent the SEC i non-conference games

also if playoffs come, i want the #2 SEC team to get in over other conference champs almost every year

but aiming at the "elite" has a cost that people aren't considering and they are ignorng what worked in the past.

then stand pat until teams come to the SEC and the cost is lowered

I get your point, but this may be more likely if the conference were a little more watered down. Less chance of your #1 and #2 losing.

slo you are really being an idiot in this thread, why are you arguing about the contract when you dont have any idea what the contract with ESPN would be? Dont you think ESPN and CBS are heavily involved in talks with Slive?

But who east of the Mississippi wouldnt be interested in a night VT vs Tenn game? VT vs UGA?

who wouldn't like to see TAMU vs LSU? or TAMU vs Arky? what waters the SEC down is Vandy and Moo State. adding two football schools with enormous alumni bases and academic prestige wouldnt water anything down

you know what is not interesting? Texas playing 3 Pac 16 road games at 9pm local time
