when you have a kid like bryce harper in the same draft at the same position, it's gonna decrease coverage from anyone else at that position. Gibbs is still a top 3-5 round guy

This I agree with but during the 1st half of the year there was a lot of 1st round talk but I hear his defensive struggles (notably throwing out runners) cooled that a bit.

Any chance he goes low enough to come back? His ability to throw out runners was downright embarassing towards the end of the season. Even on the pitchouts his throws were way too high.

Gibbs is a sandwich round guy, second at worst. He does all kinds of things well and is projected to be a solid average major league catcher. The thing with the draft is they will draft potential over anything else especially if they excel in one area defense or offense, which gibbs does neither. Whoever gets gibbs will be lucky and i would guess he would be in the majors in by 2012-2013.
