This one actually shocks me. I haven't looked at the numbers, but sitting at all three games, I and others around me were chewing our hats at how often batters were taking and getting well down in the count only to strike, out on a low breaking ball. I can appreciate wanting to run up the pitch count on the starters, but we let too much of those games get by before we started getting aggressive at the plate. Would like to see our numbers vs other teams on first pitch strikes.

On fundamentals, we did nothing to manufacture runs and the other teams did. That's just the facts. As I told my son on the way home, PM goes with his gut and when it works everyone's happy. When it doesn't, he looks like Miles managing clock at the end of a game.

Having said that, I'll be here for football and next year for baseball and they can scatter my ashes over both fields.
