i think that most people, four years ago, were expecting him to do something this world cup. i remember when he was = to ronaldo. is the dude destined to become the next denilson, or what?

As a huge FC Porto supporter I had the pleasure to watch all his games. Reminds me of an immature/young Ronaldo. Lots of flare and exceptional skill but still hasn't "put it together". Also doesn't have Ronaldo's speed or ability in the air. Currently riding the pine for Inter I believe. Not sure which video you linked cause I'm on my phone but his goal against Belgium in a friendly years back is incredible

He is tiny compared to Ronaldo. He is also not nearly strong enough to play in bigger European leagues.

it's just a random video. without any "notable" success, he has a career of highlights.
he's certainly a traditional winger. i would imagine that he still is, but i haven't seen him play in forever. of course, he doesn't have the same skill set as ronaldo, but considering ronaldo's entire skill set, it is so diverse that i don't think you can really classify it and expect anyone to do all of the things that he does. ronaldo doesn't really fit any kind of "mold." fwiw, i threw the denilson reference in there because they are both so "selfishly" talented, but their careers are going to shite (i guess denilson's already has).
and yeah, he's still at inter. i looked it up after the champions league final because i was curious.

Denilson is basically the Rafer Alston of soccer, and I think Quaresma is kind of like that as well.
However, he has at least been very good in Portugal, but just a flop with Barcelona and Inter.
The big disappointment is Kerlon, who has literally done nothing since moving from Cruzeiro to Europe.

kerlon has been hurt pretty frequently, i think. he's still very young as well.
while we're on the "players who have flamed out" kick, where the frick is d'alessandro

Everyone has already the exact same things I think as well.
I loved watching Denilson way back, he would just make defenders look foolish.

D'Alessandro had a pretty good year with Internacional in Brazil. According to Wikipedia, the LA Galaxy tried to get him, but the club didn't accept the deal. Much like all the other "next Maradonas like Ariel Ortega, Pablo Aimar, Marcelo Carrusca, and to a certain extent, Javier Saviola, he didn't do much in Europe.

definitely. it's just interesting because he was
1. relatively promising
and
2. went arse up at about the same age as a similar player

this guy was da shite for quite some time. da shite. fizzled out in a big way.
your guess is as good as his agent's.
re credit or cash. keep this board honest about real football and fricking north of the bay of biscay football, and we're cool.
big hug bro.

i'm sure that it didn't help that he was a petulant cocksucker. it was just a guy that used to make me want to try new things on the soccer field when i was younger that really disappeared. i guess it's easy to have some kind of ideal when you're on 100k/week at inter. i had kind of lost interest in the game. videos like this are helping me get up for the world cup

absolutely. this is the internet. even if it was real life, it's a disagreement over nothing. nothing to "truly" get worked up over
ETA: plus, jermaine jones made a cameo. what could have been.

So right bro. But etiquette is etiquette. Just because we are not physically exchanging opinions doesn't mean that manners go out the window. I hate that.

definitely. we're all human beings posting anonymous blurbs on a message board. weird, sure. new, sure, but i'd feel apprehensive posting/joking about things here that i wouldn't say in real life, even if i am five carlsberg's deep in copenhagen.
