I'm headed up there no matter what. I rescheduled my classes to start in July rather than next week (Public Speaking and History of Rock & Roll ).

Anyway, I bought the GA ticket book since the reserved tickets are astronomical as always in price at this point.

Anyone else in the Midwest going to the 'Blatt no matter what? It's only a 3.5 hour drive for me, but it'll be a hot one, being that the hose on my A/C is fricked.

I've never been to the CWS, so I'd at least like to go experience it before I die. Hopefully irony won't play a factor in this.

I plan on making it an annual trip. KU really doesn't offer any advanced courses I need during the summer, so these are only my last few general electives. Plus, Tractor Supply doesn't open in Lawrence till mid-July, so I've got plenty of time off. I just need to find a place to stay now.

I'll fricking shower at a truck stop if need be (had to do it after that bitch Katrina), and I'll just sleep in my truck. Contrary to moronic belief, mosquitoes are NOT bad up here. If I've been bitten at all, I didn't notice. Plus the nights are relatively cool when the north breeze is blowing.

A lot of people last yr choose to camp, if ur into that kinda thing... I found a cheap hotel (70/night) on the outskirts of Omaha after the few couple teams got eliminated

Not to say I don't like camping, but it's not like I'm a camping enthusiast or anything. $70/night isn't shite. Were you by yourself? There are ways of getting around that price. I hide in the Hardee's parking lot and park somewhere offsite while you make reservations, then I sneak in and split the cost with you.

Last year when I went we stayed at a camp ground for $10 a night. They had public showers and toilets so we could shower and stuff. It was only about 15 minutes away from the stadium. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Charging way too much for a hose that costs literally an eighth of what they're charging. Not to mention labor. I'll fix it myself before the trip.

Leave Elmo out of this.

No shite? That sounds like a winner to me. I'm all about going the cheap route, and the "humidity" up here pales in comparison to the South, so I wouldn't say we'd be "roughing it" by any means. Of course, that's just me. I don't know about others peoples' tolerance levels for heat.

Do you remember the name of the campground? If so, could you share the name, I've been looking around on the internet but everything is booked up. Thanx.

I camped it last year in a tent....the weather was ridiculously hot though, i'd consider a cheap hotel this time.....but if the weather was good, i'd camp again.....nothing like drinking beer around the campfire after a tiger win

I dont remember the name cause my friend booked it for us. It was in Iowa right on the border. It was really like 10-15 mintues from the stadium even though it was in Iowa
