Well this plan has a 65-70% chance. So why not?
I mean the risks out weigh the rewards right?
I mean the first plan was a 70% chance as was the second one, and remember 60% of the time it works all the time.

people are speculating that all of the oil is coming out anyway so it wont really be any worse than it is now. I havent heard anything official from BP though. I know someone asked them about the risks but he sort of dodged.

If there truly is a God in heaven, I hope the BP guy who is setting the "success line" on all of these operations goes to setting lines on football in Vegas for a major casino.
Maybe I'll be able to catch back a few bucks.

They are only going to have to cut through a joint of this with a ROV smaller than your car and a robotic arm. Should be a piece of cake right? Everyone seems to think most of what takes place down there is.

good picture, do you know if the cable saw goes on some sort of track and just spins around the pipe? Or is it some sort of back and forth thing?

No idea but if I had to guess it will loop around and be run by some sort of motor. Like a chainsaw.
