well the chiefs were dumb to put Dorsey in a 3-4 scheme and tyson hasn't played in a 3-4 scheme. Just wrong people for the scheme. It takes time to try to translate them to the scheme. Even though I don't think Dorsey is meant to be the dt in a 3-4 scheme

Tyson Jackson never should have gone that high. I didn't understand why he did. Dorsey shouldn't be an end

Jackson is the perfect 3-4 DE

he's just not that good of a player and was an awful, awful, AWFUL pick at #3

Jackson is the definition of combine warrior. He wasn't that great of a player here but scouts somehow fell in love with him. I'm pretty sure he doesn't give a shite now though, considering hes rich.

Dorsey will be solid in a 4-3. Jackson was a late 1st round pick who got a lucky bump. It's a little early to write off Jackson though.. look at Meachem

Dorsey made Tyson Jackson in 2007. I guess KC wanted to try to rekindle that magic in the NFL. It was dumb.

Kansas City was stupid for drafting players that do not fit the scheme. I'm so tired of hearing them blame Les Miles and LSU for their GMs failures.

got that right...

Dorsey should be in a 4/3 and really, so should jackson...run stopping end... plus he should have gone in the late 1st early 2nd...

This.

He should have been a 5th or 6th round pick that you see if you can develop. He had "upside" but not enough substance to warrant a first round or even first day pick.

Also....sounds like they threw the entire line under the bus.... They just started with the upper echelon in terms of notarity.

Futhermore they didn't exactly stomp Dorsey...

quote:

Dorsey was an upfield, penetrating three-technique defensive tackle at LSU whose game just doesn’t translate well to this scheme, though he deserves his share of the blame as well. This is one of the most wasted resources in the league right now.

Its hard to call a guy a bust when you play him in a scheme that he is not best suited to play.

So the Chiefs are as much to blame for their lack of productivity as anyone.

You're stupid

his body and ability fits into a 3-4 DE

but he's not a very good player and was a severe reach
