Even though the Preseason magazines don't come out for another two weeks, Phil is going through his top 30, releasing one every day. Well, today was #26 and LSU fell there.

Maybe it'll motivate them. But, being ranked in that range to start the season makes it much more unlikely that you'll be in the mix of one loss teams battling for the BCSCG (not that I think we have a shot in hell of getting there).

Better to be underrated than overrated to start the season. Doesn't matter how low you are ranked when you haven't played a game.

Considering how poorly we played again at the end of the season last year, he may actually be optimistic this year.
We add UNC and WV to an always tough SEC schedule. Looks like possibly another mediocre MIles team for year # 3 in a row at 8 - 4.
