Aren't they gradually increasing the amount it captures each day? If so, these increases are good nows.

maybe its only increasing because the flow is much higher than expected. It was reported that the siphon is getting 20% so if that true 10,000 bbls per day is speweing?

Yesterday it was 20% when they were capturing 1,000 barrels per day. I don't think anyone really knows how much is spilling into the Gulf. It is really just a SWAG.

For sure....nobody has any idea. Good news and progress is better than no news/bad news though.

The plan all along was to increase the capture every day. They are trying to avoid over reaching and letting the hydrates freeze the siphon up.

This is good news but its only a band-aid. How long can this go on without irreprable damage? To answer my own question it will be when the relief well is completed...2 months from now.

I'm not getting my hopes up too high on that "junk shot" either. Too much has already gone wrong and the idea seems a little wacky, even though they've said it's worked before.

I think the junk shot has an good chance of working. I think it mainly depends on the size of the openings they are shooting it thru in the BOPs. If they can get the volume of junk in there in a short period of time the chances are better.

Do you think that should have been the first course of action? "junk shot"? I mean if it has a "good" chance of working. I hope you are right.
