I Believe Ridley and Murphy will split time. Ridley will be the guy to pound it in the middle, while Murphy is gonna be the homerun hitter. Ford will get some carries hear and there.

So defenses will know whether its an inside or outside run based on personnel...change you can believe in.

I said home run hitter, not east and west runner. I mean like how the Titans did LenDale White and Chris Johnson. Chris Johnson ran up the middle and so can Murphy.

ridley showed some signs of doing good things last year, he just had no line to work with...murphy on the other hand is a huge question mark

I think Ford gets more carries than you think. Big question mark about Murphy. I think Ridley and Ford split and Murphy mixes in for 3rd downs and change of pace.

Steven will kick arse this year. He is not just an inside runner. Moves quick laterally and has great exeleration. He can bounce one outside in a second. (bama) He also showed his recieving skills out of the backfield. (ark)

Ridley will be a top 3 back in the SEC this year. He's also a prototype NFL back. JMHO

When has Murphy shown the ability to be a homerun hitter?

Actually they are about on the same level. Murphy's injury wasnt an issue until Scott and Williams both went down. I just finished both the Arkansas and Penn State game and Ridley was a none facter in both. I ve come to realize that we need 2 backs. Now if u look at stat book, Murphy has better stats in the same amount of games Ridley has played.

Penn State: Offensive line was totally dominated the whole game.

Arkansas: terrible execution of the "read option" and the Oline got dominated again. Without Ridley late in the game and the OT LSU loses this game.

You are out of your fricking mind. He will be behind at least 5-6, maybe more guys statistically.

None of this matters unless the O-LINE learns to block.

No excuses. And we couldnt run the clock out at that Arkansas game. I pretty sure he fumbled the ball in the Penn State game not the o line. And as far excuses, I never hear ppl say that the reason murphy hasnt shown anything is because he was behind 2 real good running backs for 2 yrs.

if Ford doesn't get the bulk of the carries this year, I might become a negatiger...

HAHA real funny. My post wasnt against him, all i was sayin is that he and murphy was gonna Split time. Then someone made it seem that he should get all the carries. No one in the SEC gets all the carries. Hell ingram shares the Backfield with Richardson more than ppl realize
