Coral reefs are next

While the fishing industry of Louisiana is presently in the cross hairs of this moment, the gulf stream is going to pull a lot of it through the channel between Cuba and the Florida mainland, and when it does, it will likely kill the coral reefs of the Keys.
It cannot be replaced. We cannot charge BP for it. There is no way to bill for that kind of loss.
Therefore, the requirement for excellence in prevention should be greater than is presently acceptable, financially.
I propose a sovereign corporation to handle our offshore drilling. BP had only 6 guys on the rig. More than 120 were contractors. the USA can subcontract too.

So you are for corporations like BP to be free of laws made by others and to be allowed to make laws to govern themselves?

is a nation, not a corporation.

ETA: Do you even know what sovereign means? Or was that just the "word of the day" at the Facility, and using it makes you sound smart.

I was thinking this.
I wonder when he grows up and makes more than 20k per year and actually contributes to the system if he will feel the same.

And how would that prevent this?
Magic?
Magic?

It doesn't need prevention.
Question, it has been on shore for more than a day:
Anyone got any pics of the affected coast? I haven't seen any, and I suspect the reason is because the reality isn't as "impressive" as folks are thinking it is.
It is more contaminated water than the thick sludge that chokes all wildlife that most people think of due to the Exxon-Valdez. Hell, the photo attached with the initial report of a bird being caught covered in oil was a stock one from an earlier leak.
They tested a mixture that helps dissolve the oil, absorb some it, and settle out, and it proved successful and are now ramping up production.
In essence, there is zero logical reason to just assume that not only will the oil spill have an impact 1000 miles from here, but will wipe out entire coral reefs.
The overlooking of these simple realities for the sake of making a propaganda thread like this is what they were referring to.

tax payers do not pay for the USPS any more than they do FEDERAL EXPRESS. both run on income. the weaknesses of the USPS were created by Ronnie St Alzheimer. He took the most profitable work and made it capitalist, and left the USPS holding the bag to deliver the mail to rural Montana, Mississippi and Alaska.

The Libtards are completely incapable of critical thinking and rational analysis.
Their answer for every dilemma is always the same: more Democrat Federal Power and Control over private lives and private enterprises, which means less freedom and liberty for the common citizen.
Exception: Control of the US international borders, because the poor people of the world are seen as an unlimited pool of new Democrat voters. If the poor of the world were Republican voters, the Democrat federal government would be putting them in concentraton camps like they did to the Japanese during WW2.

zero?
Take a look at a model of Gulf water flowing out to the "gulf stream" in the atlantic. The 'gulf stream' starts somewhere. It ends up in britain but where does it start, Vulva?
the gulf. It travels through the keys on its way out past Cuba and south Florida.
Sorry, you are wrong. We will all be sorry, once it is more obvious to you.
If they manage to chemically treat all the oil coming up, you will be right. If they dont, my analysis will be correct.
If we have months of flowing oil, it is going to move to the keys, by and by.
