Matched up with UCLA in possible Supers.

It'd be nice for Ole Miss to come out of that regional to set up a super in BR for all the marbles.

I'm not sure Los Angeles could handle all the LSU fans who'd show up for the SR there!

Ole missers is getting the shaft being shipped all the way out to Cali.

ETA - LSU's actually looks favorable for them to advance.

Exactly. Playing in a super is Ole Miss' kryptonite.

Too bad we are not talking about USC. Could you imagine the hostility?

This is the first projection i've seen them out. Rivals and ESPN each have them in comfortable as a 3. Neither have them has last 5 in.

I def. think UL can make it to the tourny if they keep up their pace.
ESPN BR Regional is predicted: 1-LSU 2-Rice 3-SLU 4-Maine
that would be a hell of a regional.

Any chance Rendon won't be playing? That guy was a beast last year. I am sure he is tearing it up again this year.

Actually, LSU played at Bama in the first ever supers in '99 and lost.

2000, year we won the cws. I drove up to Alex Box and couldn't get a seat. I went to a bar and watched it.

Agreed!! But I kind of like both LSU's and Fullerton's match-ups. UCLA ain't all that and I think LSU can advance.

Regarding Fullerton, they have been playing much better lately and have won seven in a row and 13 of 15 and have moved up to No. 13 in the latest Baseball America poll. I think whatever TOP 8 seed draws them will be in for a tough match-up!

Pardon my French, but LSU raped UCLA at the Box in the 2000 Super Regional. I know it has no bearing on this, but I would love that matchup if we had to go on the road.

I remember in game 1 they were trying to intentionally walk Cresse early in the game with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the UCLA pitcher threw a wild pitch way over the standing up catcher's head to let a run score.

The pitcher was Rob Henkel... I remember that loser. Great memories.

We booked our flight to Omaha after Game 1

I can't imagine they have many fans either. Win or lose, being sent to LA would be a huge show of respect to us from the committee.
