on ESPN tonight. 6pm.
...and laugh throughout because it'll remind me how little any of you QB gurus know about the position.
These kids aren't even to the NFL yet and most of the terminology that you'll hear tonight will make your heads explode.
Just reminds me why I'm a fan and not a coach.
Most of you should probably watch it tonight and remind yourselves how little you know about what actually goes on on the field.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconthumbup.gif)

Yes but...comparatively speaking our QBs suck versus the field.....and any moron w/ 2 eyes can see this and reach the same conclusion. None have reached the NFL but some are much better than others -- we don't want the later but we've got em'.

i'm going to watch it to laugh at Crowton

touche'
....and it was predictable to see some moron post in here to try to argue my point in the first post as if they know something about the QB spot.

I might not know shite and it might make my head spin, but none of that changes the shitty arse LSU QB situation.

Me too. I want to see what All-Universe Clausen has to say.
Those National Championships he got for Notre Dame are impressive. And how could we ever forget Brady Quinn? And three time Heisman winner Powlus? Big name QB's are the answer. Yes sireeeee.

I played QB through my freshman year of college and then played safety after that, so I at least have a working knowledge of the position and received college coaching. It's not as perplexing as many think.
The toughest part of being a quarterback (besides the obvious physical traits) is the decision making under pressure. When someone is coming at you with the full intent of hurting you and the picture in front of you is changing rapidly, there isn't a lot of time to think things through. Improvement comes through experience and reps if the quarterback is going to make progress. Some do and some don't, but being able to process the information and make the right decision in an instant is crucial.
But the part about terminology? That's really not the bear many people think it is. It's essentially a code. Once you learn the code and how to piece the parts together, it's not especially difficult. Sounds like it is, but it's just a matter of learning the language. You'd be surprised at how quickly you pick it up.

This makes me about 90% sure that you didn't play the position or the sport for that matter. Stop trying to make yourself look cool with this thread. You suck.

Do I have to know anything about playing the QB position at all to realize that JJ holds on to the ball too long?
I think that it what scares the living crap out of most LSU fans. Our QBs have problems with the elementary stuff that even we as common fans can see and comment about.
Having played the position before has absolutely no bearing.
Its the same in baseball, I don't have to have played third base at a high level to know we don't have any Jason Williams or Blair Barbier's we can stick over there.
