Layer of ice on the bottom of an ice chest covered with a garbage bag to keep the direct cold from coming in contact with the crawfish.

Elevate the icechest on one end and unscrew the drain to allow the frozen ice to escape.

Close the lid.

They will last for a long time this way.

Did this, this weekend. got them earliy Friday... boiled some late friday evening saved half and left them in same condition as described here all day saturday until late saturday evening when I boiled the rest and had very few dead...
