The lineup for opening day, or so it's being reported is:
1. Cabrera-LF
2. Prado-2B
3. Jones-3B
4. McCann-C
5. Glaus-1B
6. Escobar-SS
7. Heyward-RF
8. McLouth-CF
9. Lowe-P
I'm kinda surprised not to see Diaz in there. I don't know if this has more to do with McLouth recovering from his hammy injury and being put in the 8 hole, or Bobby planning on using Melky as our leadoff hitter.

Big Z is pitching. Diaz will probably still only get to play against lefty pitchers again this year, barring injury to someone. Ready to get the season underway ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

Melky will be there for most days until Nate starts playing better. He looked God awful the entire spring and is lucky to even be in the opening day lineup

quote:this is the lineup I was expecting except for the fact that I was thinking Glaus was 4 and McCann was 5. But since McCann is a better hitter for average, its probably the best way to have it.

And you may not think so, but this lineup is pretty damn good at the bottom. 7 and 8 hole hitters can hit the ball!
