you mean procrastinating for one week as opposed to 2?

In the last decade only four teams have had to play five conference games in five weeks, three times its been Alabama.

That's just the way the cookie crumbles. LSU needs to complain about having to play Florida from the East Division. We want Vandy every year as the Team from the East we play.

Why would we want Vandy instead of Florida? You wanting Vandy instead of Florida sounds like LSU is scared of playing a tough opponent. We're not the only school in the west that has a tough opponent from the east. Tennessee was good once as was Georgia. Many teams have their cycles of greatness. Florida never won the SEC before Spurrier arrived on the scene. Wanting to play Vandy makes LSU sound like chicken shite.

But Alabama and Tricky Nicky are crying about how many teams have byes before playing them

frick them. For about thirty years, we had to play Ole Miss (which was a huge rivalry game for a lot of that time) the week before Alabama, while they had either a bye or a weak opponent (frequently Mississippi State). Charlie Mac tried for years to get that changed, but Bear Bryant always refused, and the SEC went with Bear. As far as I'm concerned, no amount of mistreatment of Alabama by the SEC will ever even things up.

And as for Bama and Saban complaining NOW, they can't be serious. They were protected by the SEC all season, given every call they needed when they needed it (not that they needed that many). Screw them and their whining asses.

This is Alabama's problem, and noone elses....I wanna see what happens when the SEC tells the other SEC schools...."No you cannot have a bye week before you play Alabama!" It is unfair to Vandy, MSU, Ole Miss, LSU, or anyone else to be told this. Obviously the bye weeks mean as much to someone like Vandy as it does to Ole Miss, Auburn, LSU, Florida or any of the SEC schools. I've said this before...every school in the SEC should get in on a conference call with Slime and all say, "frick you, we are not changing our bye week before the Alabama game!"....all at the same time, and hang up. Then what could Slime and the Birmingham SEC police do about it? NOTHING! frick Alabama...this is their problem, and noona elses!

When did the SEC switch to the current set up of one permanent opponent?

Also this is a pretty ridiculous issue. Eventhough it sucks the schedule is that way the most logical thing would be to acknowledge it and schedule correctly going forward.
