Harsh words from Trent Johnson

Tigerbait article says two players in academic trouble. TJ says if situation isn't resolved by signing day, he may make decision to sign players anyway. Doesn't name second player with grade problems.

Sounds like he has the program under control.

are these two players we're currently recruiting who might not qualify or two current players? The bit about signing them anyway is a bit confusing. Thanks.

LSU could literally have an entirely different team in play for next season. I don't know if I can ever remember so much turnover from one season to the next.
I am worried about the APR and potentially losing one scholarship.

TJ isnt putting up with any bs and i love it

As long as the players leave with a 2.0, it will have no impact on APR. If one of them doesn't have a 2.0, oh well. It puts LSU in the same boat as Texas with Avery Bradley, who has already left campus and is back at home. I doubt that the guys Trent targeted in his classes are the academic liabilities so it won't be a problem going forward.
I am kind of curious to see if Delwan Graham will hurt the APR though. I guess we will see in a couple of years.

this is where eddie ludwig delivers
seriously though, they should be fine. i think bo is probably gone but this other player is hopefully in a better situation to work his way out of it (dear lord please don't let it be storm or white)
time will tell i guess. delwan is at chipola right now and will probably end up at south florida.

What? We had one senior and he is gone. We may lose another player, Spencer, who is in academic trouble. And possibly another. That is, worst-case scenario, three players. That is not bad at all.
Now, there will be a bunch of new faces. But that is not turnover. That is filling scholarships that were not being used.

This refers to two current players having academic struggles.
I predict Bo is gone, but since the other player wasn't named or suspended, he is on more solid ground.

I can guarantee you it's not storm.

other player is probably Bass, Bass has struggled in the past

That's what I'm thinking too. It also fits into the puzzle.
If you read the story in The Advocate about the Basketball Banquet, they announced the team awards. Taz, Storm, Dennis Harris, Eddie Ludwig, all won awards. Bass and Bo won nothing. And these are not just talent awards, they are for hustle, sportmanship, etc.

Is this some type of trademarked logo representing the greatness that is Garrett Green?

That pretty much leaves Bo and Bass as the question marks. Not surprising.

yup.

Even though he struggled this year, I believe we need Green on the team. I think he will improve and we need a back-up for White. If Green could play 8-10 minutes next year and average 5 points, 4 rebounds. That would be big.

Strange that Trent has acted so early on Bo. Usually they wait until after grade are in, unless Bo has stopped going to class. Anyone know?
Posted on 3/30/10 at 11:44 am to geauxjudge
Heard Bo hasn't gone to class in weeks

Yeah Storm is a pretty smart guy. He's in one of my classes and only has missed class for away games.
