Terrible mechanics, still can't throw the deep ball , and still takes way to many sacks - even if lee turns it over more there is more opportunity to score with him under center IMO

I wish those were the only passes he struggled with.

It's clear that Lee played better than Jefferson at the spring game. It's also clear that Lee struggled during the season when given the chance last year. Those two statements are pretty close to factual.
I still put most of the struggles on offense on the coaching staff for not doing a better job with what they were given. I say college football is about 70% coaching. They haven't helped either QB along when it comes to being in command of a huddle and being consistent and controlling of the offense. We didn't have anything last year to rely on.
IMO the quarterback position should be up for grabs this offseason. It's good that Lee has looked great in practice and is pushing Jefferson to study harder and get better, but ultimately the fate of the team is in the hands of the coaches.

what are their respective records? i'm not all for Lee or all for Jefferson, but if you're looking at stats, which is the most important?... wins. oh yeah, throw sacks in there, too, instead of only stats that support your point of view

So I have been hearing some less than flattering things about Jefferson recently.

Jordan Jefferson
Terrible mechanics

This was clearly not the case on Saturday.

can we just leave both off the field

U guys are willing to stick with JJ at qb. He is not even an sec. average qb. If les don't make a change at qb, he & his pal GC will be at North Texas State the following yr.

I know it’s sad, another thread.
But the reality is that LSU will never truly compete in the SEC with either one of these guys at QB.
It is just frustrating as a Tiger fan (especially since we were spoiled with two National Championships in 03 and 07) to think that we might have to endure another mediocre season.

Who the hell do yall want to play? We don't have anymore QB's. We can't trade Florida for Brantley.
They're all we have so I'm going to stay positive.

Brantley wouldn't be shite with our coaches IMO

We are in a tight spot at QB. Hopefully GC can dumb down the playbook enough for JJ to run the offense

Unfortunately, that won't fix the problems that I saw on Saturday with Jefferson. It appears to be more than a complexity issue with him, and that's really troubling.
