I was in front of a woman in the express lane (12 items or less). I had 12 items (counted before I got in line).

The woman looked at me and said, "You're in the wrong line."
Me: "How so?"
Her: "This is for 12 items or less."
Me: "Oh...well, let's count them together. One..two...three..."
Me: "Looks like I have 12 items. Must be the right line."
She screwed her face up but didn't apologize.
