Does McNabb give Philly the best chance to win right now?

I don't know why they are trying to get rid of a proven veteran in favor of the unknown Kolb

It'll only be worth it if they can get first round value for him. And while he's still a good quarterback, I think you could make the argument that the McNabb/Eagles relationship has run it's course.

I don't know how anyone could justify getting Kolb for a 2nd regardless of where he was drafted.

compared to Kolb and Vick? maybe McNabb will never win a Super Bowl, but right now he is still better than both of those guys

It's probably a draw, but I'd give the edge to Kolb just because we don't know exactly what he can do at this point.

Well, he did have that 2 game stint while McNabb was out. He threw pretty well for those few games. 741 yds and 4 tds isnt too bad.

But, to make a long-term decision based on 2 games against shaky defenses (and Im fully aware one of the two teams was the Saints' defense) is hard to make.

If I was Philly, I'd give and take a 2nd and maybe 3rd or 4th, conditionally for McNabb

and against the Saints he had one big play and then A LOT of yards in garbage time. Oh, and three picks. Don't read too much into his performance. That said, I think that they need to make a move. If they think they have a legit shot at the SB this season with McNabb, then keep him. If they are focused on the next couple years, go to Kolb now.

this is their last chance to get a substantial pick for mcnabb. Kilb isn't much of an unknown. He was a 2nd round pick a few years ago and they have been developing him ever since. He played 2 games last year for mcnabb and threw for over 300 yards in both. He seems pretty legit.
