I remember that game well. We had a family reunion outdoors listening on a radio. (A very conservative Baptist gathering).

I hollerd frick YES as Tyrus blocked another shot and everyone realized I was the only one mixing my coke with bourbon.

To this day my nephews thought it rocked. Gramaw still gives me that look. Sorry.

An epic run. That team's tourney run was probably one of my three favorite LSU moments. Just an awesome group of young guys.

The best moment of that game was when Big Baby was at the foul line and the rest of the LSU team was on the other half of the court waiting to play D and when he missed the shot Big Baby rebounded and DUNKED THE shite OUT OF THE BALL

Still not sure how that team got slapped around by UCLA the way it did.

Yeah, I know. I seem to remember Big Baby throwing his shots up too hard.

I remember where I was that game. I was playing for St. Amant in Lafayette at ULL's baseball field playing Carencro. I remember a fan saying we were winning late in the game while I was on deck and it was the 7th inning and we were down 2 or 3 runs and I got up to bat with 2 outs and runners on 2nd and third. I was pitch hitting because I didnt start. I battled the pitcher and wound up hitting a line drive around the third baseman that went into the left field corner. I wound up on second and we were still down one. I moved to third on a passed ball I think. That is when the announcer announced LSU won and I remember saying to myself and our third base coach "Now we need to win" But the guy at the plate struck out and we lost by 1. Some things in life I will never forget.

Typical of how we would lose in tourney games.

Still got the ticket. Anyone remember Tyrus walloping that duke guy in the head at midcourt and running off without getting a foul? I've never laughed that hard during a serious game like that
