so u think Ray Edwards would be cheaper than what u pay the 32nd pick in the 1st round?
No its comparable to about middle of the first round money. I was simply trying to explain how cheap it could be to pay a proven guy than blow about half as much on someone who may never play a down. Aaron Maybin has looked like a bust so far in Buffalo and his deal was right on par with Tuck's. Now imagine having to wait until the END of the first round to pick up a DE. The value just isn't there.
I hear Robert Ayers fricking sucks too. Maybe its just because he is in a 3-4, but my brother is obsessed with the Broncos and everytime we talk about football he bitches about Ayers and how Dumervil is a better pass rusher than every LB on Denver's roster....combined

Larry English, DE drafted 16th last year by SD, got a 5 year, $13.5m contract. Edwards will cost at least $6m a year. When details on Kampman's deal comes out, I think he's going to be in that $6m a year range. Edwards will get at LEAST that much.
I like the idea, but Edwards had 3 hosses next to him and he only had 10 sacks in his previous 26 starts.
