We wouldn't have to give Edwards top DE money, because he plays LE which isn't considered a premier pass rushing spot.
Where the frick were you a few years ago when we gave all that money to Grant? Loomis could have used this little piece of informaton.

The move was fricking stupid. Teams put their best run blockers on the right side of their line which means your left end has to be able to anchor in run support. Well apparently we thought Grant was a fricking master at run support as well as a premier pass rusher and we paid frickin ridiculous money for a DTackle basically.
Ray Edwards is a former pass rushing specialist who has been producing very good, but not extraordinary numbers. Which is exactly what Justin Tuck had done when he signed his not so lucrative deal. Mathis is probably the highest paid player of their kind, simply because he has produced crazy numbers.
