You don't have to have organized football experience to understand that cleans are a better indicator for overall body strength and explosiveness than te bench press. I'm just saying that if you have to do just one exercise and you want the best translator to football strength, the Bench press is not it

yes, it Is an important exercise but it is not number 1

and yes, I do lift weights

but no one can say that the bench press doesnt have its place it should be a test for the line and line backers ..that is a motion used every snap
