Oh lord have mercy. It's official, I've become a nega-tiger.

This guy was QB coach at Auburn since 2003. Other than 2004, Jason Campbell's senior year, what in the world makes any of you think this guy would be a good QB coach? And after a fast start his career has been dubious at best since 1998 as an offensive coordinator.

I used to be the kool-aid drinker on this board. Things sure have changed...glad to see you guys can still see the silver lining in anything LSU does.

TE coach isn't very important in the grand scheme of things, but any talk of this guy being QB coach or stealth offensive coordinator just leaves me speechless.

I hope this isn't accurate.

steve ensminger isn't the brightest bulb on the tree .. and that is why his coaching ascension died after the clemson gig ... he was an average at best QB at LSU and couldn't latch on with the saints as the #3 QB ... the previous poster pointing out jason campbell's slow development makes a good point .. especially now that campbell is a starting QB in the NFL ..

welcome...this was a chance for miles to get either a great recruiter, or great QB coach, instead he goes out and insists on his fricking TE coach to have SEC experience and you have this. Miles never fails to pull some random shite like this

Look at it this way, Gonzo will be the stealth OC Ensminger will be the stealth QB coach, and Crowton will also be working parts of that. I know there's a risk of "too many chefs", but at the same time, Ensminger was a pretty good QB for LSU, and has lots of experience working with QBs. I'm hoping that it's just what we need.

List the QB's Aubbie has had during his tenure. . .

B/c any coach is an improvement over our QB coach from last year.

I stopped reading after page 3 but I do think this is a good hire. There is something to be said about LSU connections and familiarity with Louisiana high schools.

One poster made a point about blaming Ensminger for Jason Campbell's abysmal career at Auburn and the fact that Campbell is playing with the Redskins. For those that don't remember Campbell was basically Jordan Jefferson until his senior year. Then all of a sudden a light bulb clicked on and he had a good senior year. I also remember Campbell as a senior making a gutsy fourth quarter drive against LSU that beat us. He clearly developed under Ensminger's watch. Campbell will never be a great NFL quarterback but he became a very good college quarterback.

Just sayin
