pretty much. and I thought we had the guys to run it effectively. I hate that we didn't run more zone read, with either JJ or Shep at QB. they looked good when they ran it.

Actually, I find JJ is not a very good running QB. He really seems to only be effective when holding the ball too long on pass plays, and escaping the pocket.

Even then he is very hesitant. I realize he had some ankle issues, and probably was told to avoid contact at all costs, but he doesn't run the ball well on designed running plays.

this worked early in the uga game with shepard and trindon. feels like we never saw it again

I rememeber us running it on consecutive plays against UGA. Once RS kept it for a big gain and next handed off to TH for a decent gain. Then it seemed to have disappeared. I thought we should have continued to run it on that drive until they stopped it. I thought we would at least see it more during the season, but don't recall seeing it, especially not with RS.
