Read the article about him today in the Picayune....seems like he will be a good one for the purple and gold.
Will they allow him to start pitching again next year, or is he good enough to take another year off from pitching and he will crack the lineup at either DH or become a position player?

Pre injury he was pegged as the #1 HS player in the country

Was that as a position player/pitcher/all around?
Would be amazing if the kid would be able to complete the comeback and become a dominant pitcher again.......the article stated he was able to get around 95mph as a soph......

His true position is P, but my golly he can sure knock the cover off the ball. Him and Koziol(IL) both major major two way players who quite frankly I don't know what poisition will fit them down the road.

i believe he will come in and be the back up shortstop his freshman year. Northshore is not allowing him to pitch this year. I hope he can come in and dominate. Great kid with a great family

It lightens my heart to see high school coaches pull out the stop sign and rest a kids arm instead of riding him so he can get a few extra scouts in his office.

If anyone can come back better than ever, it is him. Hardest worker I have ever been around. No doubt in my mind that he is/will kill it in rehab and with workouts. The entire family is off the chart with work ethic and discipline. Anybody else that went to NHS recently will agree we me.

his dad was the former coach at Northshore before he died, so they probably it out of respect as much as they did because he has a great career ahead of him
and i think he projects as a corner OF when he gets to college...not SS. Just my opinion
Northshore defending 5A champs as well

Thought about that too, but if his arm is not completely well then outfield is not going to be his strong point. That being said i hope he comes in and dominates as a pitcher.

his arm should be 100% when he gets here
like Blake Dean, he is gonna play 1B this season until he gets full strength back

NHS played this weekend at St. Charles for the Jamboree and hit some rockets. He hit a bomb that went for miles against Dunham. I got to talk to him for a while between games and he seemed fine with not pitching. He said he probably wasn't going to pitch this year at all, but wanted to Pitch for LSU. He didn't throw hardly at all, but said that the Labrum really didn't hurt him that much. Northshore's coaches were some great guys who definitely know the talent and capabilities of Eades.
He was probably one of the most polite, humble guys i've spoken to over the years and definitely is going to be a great addition to the Tigers next year.

Unfortunately no, it seems like every other damn article that was printed in todays sportspage is on the webpage except that one. I will check again tommorrow, perhaps they are late in posting it.

This is why.
Also, I know his mom was softball coach a few years back. I am sure she still has some say if she is still around.

So the chances of him coming to LSU are pretty slim?

I believe in the article it mentions she still is the softball coach.

Pre injury
No he is almost assuredly a lock to be on campus next year, no way a major league team will pay him the amount needed to go anywhere coming off of a shoulder injury like that without some serious proof that he will be ok. Especially if they want to draft him as a pitcher.

+1 teams may still take a risk and draft him based purely on what they see this year which will be only in the field, but I think he's a better pitching prospect. Before his injury as DGB said he was one of the top high school prospects in the southeast similar to Forrest Garrett(09). He's a top high school talent but this injury almost assures he will be going to college which is great news for LSU.

Do you think he is a good enough hitter to crack the lineup next year?
