Yeah, 9 is a pretty good number- more than I would've though as well, especially given their relative newness to the position.
You note that football was integrated in 60s/70s, but blacks as the signal callers for premier level programs is a post 70s phenomenon. This makes 9 NCs more impressive.

I do not find this racist at all 'blackbeaver', now if you're name were white beaver, there would be reason for concern
