Basketball:
Pistol Pete, Shaq. Virtual tie because I'm too young to have seen the Pistol play but respect the hell out of him on just looking at stats alone.
Football:
Ryan Perriloux..................lol..j/k. Jacob Hester by far. Gutiest, toughest, most determined and most humble I've seen. Eric Andolsek, (would be) my age and from my hometown...died a tragic death while weed eating at home during the offseason.
Baseball:
Big Ben, Eddie Furnace, Warren Morris, Todd Walker, Brandon Larsen and Wally Pontiff.
Track:
Trindon and Lolo
Women's Basketball:
Semoine Augustes...is there anybody else?
Golf:
David Toms...probably my overall winner out of all the names mentioned. He'll talk LSU out on the PGA tour anytime they ask, regularly attends football games and LOVES HIM SOME LSU.

the question was favorite lsu player not best lsu player and mine would be ron sancho as he stated he would pay his own way to lsu rather than accept a full scholarship to tulane beside being a four year starter a linebacker

Maravich. You would have had to see him to believe that what he did at the college level was even possible.
Don't have enough video of Cannon to really know.

my favorites of all-time were not the best of all-time and only include athletes i watched:
Football: Kevin Faulk, probably the best I've ever seen, dad used to be in the gridiron club and we would go to practices...I have one of his old wristbands haha
Baseball: Jason Williams; most of you probably don't remember him. One of Skip's favorite players. Played on the Olympic team twice. Still holds the record for most hits in a single game at LSU(which I was there to watch). Went 6-7.
Basketball: Darrell Mitchell...will NEVER forget that shot against Texas A&M...absolutely incredible! Honorable mention...Garrett Temple for making J J Redick cry! haha

Josh Reed - lookin back on his days at LSU, i knew we were watching a special FB talent. Kid was one of the greatest college WRs.

he was a pretty good rb at rayne
Posted on 2/15/10 at 6:33 pm to tigermike200444
That's a big part of why he is my favorite. Reed didn't even play WR a whole 2 years and broke all kinds of records.

"Pistol Pete" the first "freak" athlete.
Casanova- the natural
Shaq -the second freak
Cannon
Hester-all heart
K. Faulk

On and off the field, Casanova, one of the best people who ever went to LSU, athlete or non-athlete.
Pure athletic talent, I don't see how anyone can argue with Maravich. The guy worked at his craft 24/7 from the time he was born.

this particular player is my choice for both favorite i have seen in person and my redemption player (for one game at least). i grew up in georgia and went to college here, so i have only seen about a dozen games at t.s. in person. Kevin Faulk. 1996 opener against houston. UH 26 point underdogs. Faulk suspended in 1st half for altercation at bar. fumbles first carry n 3rd qtr and its returned for td. tigers down 34-14 in 4th qtr. many negatigers left. Faulk absolutely takes over the game at tb and p.r. 246 all purpose yrds. ive never seen a one player dominanace like that at t.s. (except for tim couch/shaun alexander) growing up, tie between hodson/ w. davis

Who Dat knowin' how to spell Bukumirovich? I used to love Hawthorne checking (on the air) whether the other team's sportscaster could pronounce Bukumirovich and Jovanovich. And, they always could.
