Jacob Hester and Pete Maravich. Pistol because he was such a phenomenal talent, but first Hester because in these days of the endless crap we hear about recruiting wars and coaches being THE thing in college athletics. The bottom line is that it comes down to the person whom you're getting and what he makes of himself. Nobody epitomizes that like jacob Hester did.

Jacob Hester, Shaq, Chad Jones, P Petterson, Skyler Green,Blake Dean, Early Doucet & Glen Dorsey

hard to argue with cheapseat's list - all those that saw Maravich list him first. However, would list many ahead of Hester, as much as I appreciate him (B Jones, G Dorsey, M, Anderson, J Robinson, J Stovall, C Temple, etc.)

Im 24 so for the 3 major sports
Football- Glenn Dorsey, flat out class act and gutty player, and also not to mention just damn good.
Basketball- I wish I was alive to see Pistol, but out of the players I really got a chance to see I would say Darrell Mitchell
Baseball- This is tough bc I grew up a baseball junkie but I would have to say Eddy Furniss

The Pistol in hoops and Casanova in football.

Football - Michael Clayton (all-time great WR at LSU, but also one of the most vicious hitters to ever wear the P&G. I remember him getting a personal foul in TS on a perfectly legal hit because it just seemed to explosive to be legal.)
quote:
Baseball - Todd Walker
Basketball-Chris Jackson, neglected by LSU due to his own personal views.
Clayton and Spears meant more to this era of LSU football than anyone. Todd Walker was the best player post Ben and Belle. He is the Mickey Mantle of LSU baseball.
