Where Does the Porter INT Rank on All Time SB Plays?

For me --
1. The David Tyree Catch [if not made, Giants do not win period]
2. Vinateri v. Rams
3. Big Ben to Santanio Holmes last year
3. Vinateri v. Panthers
4. Porter
5. Harrison 100 yard INT last year
6. Mike Jones stop on last play v. Titans
7. John Taylor Catch
fill in rest and rearrange

Too many recent SB's on that list.

1. Tony Romo's SB winning pass to Terrell Owens
Oh wait...

Where's the Lynn Swann catch? they show that on every super bowl highlight reel.

You're missing lots of older huge plays. Bradshaw to Swann...Willie Browns int for Raiders...many many.

I agree about you needing to throw in some of the older plays, but the Harrison TD from last year was much better than Porters in my opinion.

you can add:
1) Jim O'Brien FG to win SB V
2) Swann's catch in SB X
3) John Riggins 43 td on 4th and 1 in SB XVII
Harrison TD is best IMHO followed closly by Tyree.

What about Don Beebe chasing down whatshisname? Elway's helicopter move, Marcus Allen's 74 yard romp.

Elway's run maybe. Those other plays came in blowouts.

It's an opinion thing, but I don't care about the games when discussing individual games.
Especially since the reverse is not true. Look at SB XL, close score, game was boring as hell.

Did the Frank O'Harris catch against the Raiders happen in the superbowl?

That was in the AFC playoffs.

Can't have 2 from the same game (Harrison and Holmes) One has to be more all time than the other.
Taylors catch I think needs to be Montana's throw, for sure. Hell Baskett could have caught that!
Tyree's catch was great, but ole Stone Foot himself avoiding that sack was a shock.
On day it will sink in that intercepting probably the greatest statistical qb of all time, while he is at our 26 driving to catapult himself above all by taking his team from behind, ande returning it 74 yds for a td that put the game away, is probably one of the biggest all time.
But, what helps it be even larger, is what it did instantly to the image and possibly the moral of soemone who everyone hailed as the Chosen One!
I personally don't think the Colts make it back to this level again. Time will tell,

Not even close to top 10. It was a huge play as far as the outcome of the game, but there was nothing spectacular about it.

I disagree. It was right before halftime, and while exciting, not nearly as epic. Also, the Cardinals took the lead later in the game, so it certainly didn't seal the deal as much as Porter's did.

I disagree big time. Porter made a great read and anticipated the route against a future HOF QB and WR to win the SB. If Porter was wrong on his read the game is tied 24-24. Very ballsy play by Porter

Meh, it was a typical pick 6. It was nothing like the Tyree catch, or even the big TD grabs last year.
eta: I'm not trying to discredit the play. I'm just looking at it from a standpoint of the "wow" factor compared to other SB plays.
