It's time, New Orleans!
Robert E. Lee (Rooted in honoring a failed past, Lee really had nothing to do with NOLA)
Drew Brees (Winner rooted in the "New" New Orleans who helped save our Saints)

Yeah
I just don't understand why we have a statue of Robert E. Lee. Did he ever even set foot in New Orleans? I'm fairly ignorant of Robert E. Lee and the Civil War. I'm pretty certain he never did anything heroic for our fair city.
I do know that he never won us a Super Bowl.

Drew Brees would be the first person to recognize how retarded that would be.

You are too humble, you greatly underestimate your ignorance.

It amazes me how ignorant our society is regarding its own history. So many people do not understand the true history of our nation.

Somebody called into WWL this morning with an idea like this. Except he suggested changing it to Tom Benson Circle or something like that. His reason was Benson has done more for NO than Lee ever did.

General Lee was one of the greatest Generals that this nation has ever had. He was respected by his adversaries and even President Lincoln. He did more with less in the War of Northern Aggression than any modern military leader I can think of.
